Introduction

FinalSet (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application.

Information We Collect

Photos: When you use FinalSet, your photos are analyzed locally on your device for sharpness, expression, composition, and other quality metrics. Photos are never uploaded to any server. All processing happens entirely on your Mac.

Subscription Information: If you subscribe to FinalSet Pro, your subscription status is managed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive only your subscription status and do not have access to your payment details.

Local Storage: FinalSet stores your license status and image processing count locally on your device in ~/Library/Application Support/FinalSet/. This data never leaves your computer.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Analyze your photos locally for quality scoring and culling recommendations
• Track your subscription status for Pro features
• Generate XMP sidecar files alongside your originals for export to Lightroom, Capture One, or Photo Mechanic

Data Storage and Security

All photo analysis runs locally on your Mac. No images, thumbnails, or analysis results are ever transmitted to any server. Your subscription status is managed securely by Apple.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple (StoreKit): To process in-app subscriptions for FinalSet Pro. Apple handles all payment processing. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

No other third-party services are used. FinalSet does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or telemetry.

In-App Purchases

FinalSet offers an optional Pro subscription ($19.99/month) for unlimited photo culling. Purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do NOT upload or transmit your photos
• We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking of any kind
• We do NOT share your data with data brokers
• We do NOT collect crash reports or telemetry
• We do NOT communicate with any server other than Apple for subscription validation

Children’s Privacy

FinalSet is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

You may:

• Delete all local app data by removing the FinalSet folder from Application Support
• Cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store
• Request information about data we have collected
• Request data deletion by contacting us

Data Retention

FinalSet stores minimal data locally on your device. If you delete the app, all local data is removed. Subscription records are maintained by Apple according to their data retention policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy and updating the “Last Updated” date.
